Production and Service Technician
As a Production and Service Technician, you will assemble, repair and test aerospace related products in accordance with current approved technical data and work instructions under an AS9100D certified quality management system.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be required to lift and carry up to 20 pounds, operate tooling and equipment required for assembly and test, verbally communicate with management in spoken and written English and read and execute work instructions written in English.
This is a full-time office position, located on the Space Coast in Melbourne, Florida. Work schedule is typically Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., with flexible hours available.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Production of wiring harnesses per current technical documentation to IPC-620 standards
• Board level soldering to IPC-610 and J-STD-001 standards
• Assembly of electronic devices following S20.20 ESD standards for electro static discharge sensitive devices
• Testing of electronic devices per current technical documentation
• Compliance with all 14CFR Part 21 production regulations
• Compliance with all AS9100D standards
• Responsible for keeping work areas clean and orderly and for notifying Supervisor(s) of requirements for materials and other supplies
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
• Must be legally able to work in the United States
• Valid drivers license
• High School Diploma or GED
• Ability to read and understand mechanical and electrical drawings written in English
• Capable of using digital multi-meters to check for continuity, voltage, amperage and resistance
• Must be able to pass a DOT pre-employment drug and alcohol screening and participate in the DOT drug and alcohol program
Preferred
• Experience performing through hole and SMT soldering operations
• Experience in wire harness manufacturing or repair
• Electronics assembly experience
• Experience using Oscilloscopes, Spectrum Analyzers, Vector Network Analyzers in a lab environment
• Experience in AS9100D and 14CFR Part 21 production
Competencies
• Must be able to read, write and speak in English
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite
• Basic knowledge and use of tooling and equipment used in the assembly and test of electronic
components, wiring and equipment
