Production Service Manager

As a Production and Service Manager, you will oversee the daily production and servicing activities and ensure that all currently approved processes are being safely executed in compliance with current AS9100D, 14CFR Part 21 requirements and applicable customer requirements. Through weekly planning and daily coordination with the COO, the Production and Service Manager ensures weekly activities are identified, properly assigned and communicated to shop personnel in order to meet delivery schedules. In addition, S/he ensures a Safe, Compliant and Effective work environment that delivers Safe, Conforming and High Quality products.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate and exchange information with others. The employee is frequently required to move and transport equipment, tooling and materials up to 20 pounds and operate computers and other testing equipment. The employee must be able to remain stationary for up to 50% of the time.  Travel may be required up to 10% of the time.

This is a full-time position, located on the Space Coast in Melbourne, Florida.   Work schedule is typically Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., with flexible hours available.

Duties and Responsibilities
• Ensuring all team members are executing production activities in compliance with all 14CFR Part 21 regulations and AS9100D standards.
• Scheduling and coordinating the execution of all production and service orders to meet delivery dates.
• Ensuring all equipment, tooling and materials are available for scheduled production and service activities.
• Monitoring and scheduling recurrent training requirements for production and service team members.
• Issuing and assigning work orders for all production and service activities.
• Continuous monitoring of the work areas for safety and compliance.
• Filing all work records timely and compliantly.
• Responding to audit findings and implementing corrective actions in a timely manner.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required

• Must be legally able to work in the United States
• Valid drivers license
• High School Diploma or GED
• Ability to read and understand mechanical and electrical drawings written in English
• Must be able to pass a DOT pre-employment drug and alcohol screening and participate in the DOT drug and alcohol program.

Preferred

• Awareness of 14CFR Part 21 operational requirements.
• Awareness of 14CFR Part 145 operational requirements.
• Knowledge of IPC 610, IPC 620 and IPC J-STD-001 standards.
• Experience supervising or managing

Competencies

• Basic knowledge and use of tooling and equipment used in the assembly and test of electronic components, wiring and equipment
• Basic computer skills to include use of Microsoft Office Suite software
• Must be able to read, write and speak in English
• Use standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopies, and fax machines
